About Us

IMGP8387

Malaria, a treatable and preventable disease transmitted by mosquitoes, causes 1-2 million deaths annually.  According to CDC, 85% to 90% of malaria fatalities occur in Africa where malaria is endemic and people are too poor to pay for the life-saving treatments.

Malaika for LIFE was created by malaria survivor Kristen Kenney to provide malaria victims with the life-saving treatments that they otherwise could not afford.

Malaika, which means Angel in Swahili, is significant to our mission as we have grown into a network angels spread throughout the world who volunteer to fight against malaria.

What we do:

Malaika for LIFE is the voice for the African people, selling bracelets, handmade by the women to provide malaria medication and treatment to those in need. 100 % of the proceeds go to our mission and cause without a middleman.

How we work:

1. We purchase malaria medication from local pharmacies in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.

2. We deliver the life-saving medication to local hospitals, dispensaries and orphanages with the greatest need.

3. Together, we provide the malaria treatment.

4. All medical expenditures and patient information is kept on file for validation.

We have no middleman, our staff is all volunteers and all donations go directly to help the people of Tanzania.
